Florida Sports and Family Health Center

This was an old warehouse on Central Avenue in Kissimmee that was renovated by Bermuda Builders which now houses medical offices. During Phase I the existing interior was demolished and built out (framing, drywall, painting, flooring, etc.) for treatment, exam rooms, x-ray room, and physician offices. The exterior also had major renovations—removing two exterior walls and rebuilding with a Mediterranean-influenced facade of steel and metal framing with EFIS. The build-out of the Health Imaging Center included installation of an MRI and CAT scan equipment. Lead sheathing was required for the CAT scan room. Special construction for the MRI equipment included additional reinforcement in the foundation, various trenches for electrical and cooling components, and stainless steel panel walls (non-magnetic surfaces).
